Call to Confession

Prayer of Confession
God of eternal forgiveness, we come to You ready for change. We know that again and again You interrupt our lives in new and surprising ways. We know this, and yet we have remained skeptical and closeminded to Your inbreaking. Forgive us for our lack of openness and ambiguity. Give us a will that matches our readiness for change. Help us to act in ways that lead others to see You at work in this world. Help us to see You in others.  Amen.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.  For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Our Response to God’s Word

*Affirmation of Faith
We believe that to be reconciled to God is to be sent into the world as his reconciling community. This community, the church universal, is entrusted with God’s message of reconciliation and shares his labor of healing the enmities which separate men from God and from each other. Christ has called the church to this mission and given it the gift of the Holy Spirit.
