CROSS CARE CONNECTIONS

Support for Life-Changing Events

Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

Philippians 4:6

We love because God first loved us.

John 4:19

What is Cross Care Connections?

Church of the Cross is dedicated to the spiritual and emotional care of our members. In 2011, PCOC created a special outreach to care for our members, to listen and provide encouragement in a one-on-one setting. This program is known as Cross Care Connections.

If you or a loved one is facing a situation where you need spiritual and emotional support, PCOC’s hope is that you will take advantage of Cross Care Connections.

Cross Care Connections provides a personally tailored relationship with a fellow church member to walk with you at life’s most challenging times. These compassionate individuals can provide confidential support to help you navigate major life events . . .

  • In the emotional aftermath of a death or traumatic event
  • Following a medical diagnosis or during an illness
  • After a job loss
  • When you are facing a life-changing decision
  • If you are feeling afraid, alone, or hopeless
  • Following a major life change like a new baby or an empty nest
  • When you are the sole caregiver for an aging or ill loved one
  • After a miscarriage
  • When you are trying to be strong for someone else
  • If you are struggling with the failure of a marriage or relationship
  • When you just need someone to listen
