Gracious and Loving God, again and again You set a banquet before us. You anoint our heads with oil. You make our cups run over. And yet so often we do not show up to our own party. We busy ourselves with other things. We sit down at other tables. We drink from a different cup. We ignore and forsake our own anointing. Forgive us. Help us to see and enjoy all the wonderful things you do for us, O Lord.
